After waiting so long for the ever-imminent release of GRASS 6.4RC6, and with other things piling up, I really needed to rebuild GRASS. This build is from the current SVN state of the 6.4 source, so I called it RC5.9 ;-). It now uses GDAL 1.7. To simplify installation I bundled the Tcl/Tk frameworks from ActiveState. And by popular demand (1 person many times?) I included the xganim tool (minimal testing, I hope it works OK).

Mac OS X installer for MapServer. * [11.0 MiB] for Leopard and Snow Leopard. Mapserv CGI, PHP-MapScript and Python MapScript are included. PHP-MapScript is for PHP CGI-only for now. Of course, PHP-MapScript needs PHP, but the CGI mapserv will run without PHP. GDAL 1.7.1 is here! (1.7.0 was skipped due to a critical bug found right after release.) This includes an major update to the UnixImageIO framework. :!: This is an incompatible upgrade from 1.6. The main reason is that the new GeoTIFF 1.3 library has a binary incompatibility with the old version. The new frameworks' installation will not delete the old versions, so current software will continue to work.

Mac OS X installers for PostgreSQL, and GIS extensions PostGIS and pgRouting. Built for Leopard and Snow Leopard. Postgres 8.4 * [35.5 MiB] * [4.2 MiB] * [4.4 MiB] * [2.8 MiB] PostgreSQL itself does not require anything extra, and includes the Pl/Python language (uses the system Python). Initial database setup is done for you if you have never installed Postgres before.

By popular demand, and to widen the test base, I will start providing dev builds of Qgis. Only Snow Leopard is supported, framework-based only. Builds will occur sporadically, as I have time and feel like it ;-) The first build is for Qt 4.5 Carbon, hopefully future builds will be Qt 4.6 Cocoa 64bit.

A script is available to build the framework from sources. ---------- The libtiff release schedule is slow, but there is very active development. To get the latest bigtiff support, there is a 4.0 alpha, but there are already bug fixes and improvements, so CVS HEAD is preferable.

Many depend on a previous library being installed. Each major OSX version has its own section in the notes. Qgis 1.4 Updates & SQLite 3.6.22 - created

A rash of Qgis 1.4 updates occurred in the past couple days, all on standalone versions. The SQLite3 Framework was updated to 3.6.22 + Spatialite 2.4.0rc2. The Spatialite update is required for Qgis 1.4 to be able to open Spatialite data sources, and is also part of the latest update to the standalone packages.
